What I know and Capable of doing:
I have been working on a horse farm for the last twelve years. In the twelve years that I have been there I have learned how to take care of the horses that have passed through the stables.
I have cared for multiple breeds: Quarter horses, Arabians, thoroughbreds, appaloosas, paints, and the list goes on.
I have cared for foals, stallions, geldings, mares, pregnant mares, and brood mares.
I know electric, plumbing, and carpentry skills so that in the event of something being broke in the barn I can fix it without relying on anyone else.
I know how to load, transport, and unload different types of horses; from the seasoned horses that know what a trailer is to horses that have never been on a trailer.
I have learned how to ride horses on my own without any lessons.
I have ridden horses that are green to experienced horses that have been riding for a long time.
I ride mainly western but I would like to learn new ways.
I have a clean driving record.
I can drive an automatic or standard.
I don't drink, smoke, or use drugs.
If a horse gets hurt I know how to apply salves, wrap bandages, administer shots and vaccines, and keep horses on a yearly worming regiment.
I keep the stalls cleaned every day with fresh bedding and they are mucked out every three months.
I have also learned how to install & maintain different types of fencing. No Climb, Board Rail, Field Fencing, Barb Wire, & Electric fencing.
During the twelve years that I have been working on the farm I have learned how to operate farm tractors, loaders, backhoes, skid-steers, and hay baling equipment.
